Starting a blog was something that I never thought I would have the courage to do. I thought it would be fun, but who would want to read about little ol’ me? (self-doubt is such a monster)
Back in February I was talking to my good friend, Jen, over wine – our favorite ;). I expressed to her that I wanted to find “me” again. I wanted a creative outlet for myself, and needed a mental break from mom mode. Don’t get me wrong… I LOVE staying at home with my babies, and I feel so blessed to do so. However, there is a side to me that felt unfulfilled. I wanted to be creative again. I was craving the feeling of accomplishment other than conquering nap time struggles and difficult diaper changes.
After Jen’s persuasive push (on more than one occasion), she finally convinced me that I should at least tryyyy it. LOL (Thank you Jen for always being there and believing in me!)
I’m so grateful I listened to here. I started Easy Like Sunday Morning in June 2018 and I’m having the best time finding “me” again. I get excited to create content, photograph and edit my images, and share all my favorite things with you all. Even if nobody is interested, (there I go with the self-doubt) I know that it makes ME HAPPY and that’s all that matters.
Starting something new can be VERY intimidating. You are unsure, inexperienced, and to top it off-putting yourself out there so publicly for people to judge! “What if I fail?” “What is people roll there eyes at my work?” What if, what if, what if….. SELF DOUBT, PEOPLE! It will eat you up and tear down your dreams. We have to treat ourselves better and believe in ourselves.
Mom Boss Babes
Reflecting on my start-up experience makes me think twice about my inner circle of friends. Moms and boss babes who took a chance on their passion and ignored their own inner self-doubt! Women who started a BUSINESS and are very successful! I’m proud of their work, and to know them. They are hard-working women who make running a business look effortless – even though we know there are always growing pains in anything we do.
Stevie Js
Stevie Js is a handmade headwrap company started by my sorority sister, Sarah, and her husband, Clay. Their company was inspired by Sarah’s firstborn, Stevie. Sarah was pregnant and began sewing her own headwraps because she couldn’t find bows big enough for her little one. (In Texas, the bigger the bow-the better!) LOL
Sarah and Clay are both special education teachers, and dedicate their after bedtime hours to work on Stevie Js. With education being very important to Sarah and Clay, all Stevie Js profits go directly to their girls’ college fund!
I personally love that Stevie Js are pre-tied and are all handmade in the US! They also offer an abundance of colors and various sizes. You can find Stevie Js retail online and also carried in stores throughout the US and INTERNATIONAL!! Sarah is making her dream come true and I’m so very proud of her and Clay!

CherBebeEmbroidery
CherBebeEmbroidery is a company started by my friend, Allie. She is a mama of a little boy named John Luke who is absolutely precious!
Allie always enjoyed sewing as a hobby, and decided to turn it into a business once John Luke was born.
CherBebeEmbroidery is run through Etsy, and all the products listed display Allie’s close attention to detail. I’ve personally ordered a few pieces, and I was so impressed with the quality of the clothes as well as the personalized embroidery. If you are interested in shopping her work, you can shop her products HERE.
Summer Days Photography
Summer is my sister-in-law and also the owner of Summer Days Photography. She is the definition of a mom boss babe! She teaches pre-school, runs a t-shirt business, and also has her own photography business. Did I mention that she is also a mom of THREE!? Summer is a busy momma, but she manages to make it all look so easy!
Summer developed a love for photography after her second little one was born. Over the years she opened her own photography business, and is also an associate wedding photographer! Her work is always so beautiful and we use her often for newborn images, seasonal family pictures, milestone photo shoots, or anything in between. I’m so lucky to have a professional photographer in our family! She is always so much fun to shoot with and her creativity shows in her work! If you ever need a beautiful lifestyle photographer look her up HERE.
