Baby Hale number three is due in November, and with the due date quickly approaching, I wanted to throw a small gender reveal party for the two VERY excited older siblings.
SURPRISE IT’S A BOY!!!
Party Theme
I wanted to host a party that was different than your typical blue and pink themed gender reveals. So of course I took to Pinterest and began my inspiration search. Instantly the theme “what will it bee” came up and I fell in love!
It was PERFECT! I loved the idea of using different shades of yellow as a gender neutral color with pops of gold to break it up.
Colors
There are a few ways you can use color to style this theme party. However, I decided to stay away from the bold black and yellow “bee colors” and go for a more laid back wild flower look.
To achieve this relaxed “country bee” style, I used softer yellows, gold, and white. My long black buffet table worked perfectly to bring in a touch of black without being too over the top.
Flowers
I love making my own floral arrangements when I host. I think its an easy way to save a few dollars and warm up some dead space without investing in decor objects. My favorite place to shop florals are the local HEB grocery store and Trader Joe’s. I try to pick flower that go with the theme or match in color. I also make it a point to buy some extra greenery bundles to add in my arrangements.
Food
Due to Covid, this event was a intimate, an immediate family only party. I hosted the event during brunch hours and serve mimosas, breakfast tacos, donut holes, mixed fruit, and kolaches (a southern breakfast staple). For a special treat after the balloon pop, I placed out macarons by the very talented, Bombshell Macarons. They were a party hit!
Balloons
The balloon decor was created by my sweet and very talented friend, Tiffany, owner of Glamfetti. I worked with her on what colors looked best with the theme and I love how her work made the party really come together!
When hosting any event I LOVE decorating with balloons! It’s inexpensive, easy to assemble, adds color, and doesn’t take up storage space after the party is over. (can I get an amen?!)
Tiffany, Glamfetti, also created the acrylic bar cart sign that reads, “get your buzz on.” I LOVE the personalized touch the sign gives the mimosa station and adds a playful feel to the party.
The acrylic signs are coming soon to the Glamfetti shop. They will be customizable with color and text.
Cups
On the bar cart you may have noticed the personalized frosted cups that read, “What Will It Bee” and “baby Hale number 3”.
I teamed up with my friend, Tammy, owner of Sequins and Lipstick , to create them and I just adore how they turned out!
Tammy, Sequins and Lipstick, offers various custom design party supplies in her shop, and the quality five stars. Tammy is also so creative and amazing to work with.
In fact, all of her listings are so cute that it can make it really hard to narrow down what you want. I finally settled on the frosted cups with a gold foil design. I will link my cups HERE.
I hope you enjoyed taking a look inside our gender reveal party! We are so thrilled for baby BOY to arrive in November!
